Why television bewitches children so much? Virtual image takes a child away from reality for a while. In cinema children realize they experience something external towards themselves, limited in time and space, as going to the cinema is always a ritual, supposing certain séance, dark hall, presence of other spectators. In front of TV a child faces a flow of uncoordinated images, staying in usual atmosphere. It is more difficult for him to move away from happening on the screen – and bewitching effect is increased. My wife and I were standing outside of a shopping center the week before Thanksgiving when we began to hear the “sounds of Christmas.” We looked at each other with amazement as the holidays began to permeate the air of the mall parking lot. Each year it appears that the winter holidays arrive earlier than the year before, making it more difficult for many to avoid holiday stressors. It is not unusual for people to have a difficult time handling the season-driven holiday cheer and find that they are actually experiencing the “holiday blues.” Our commercial motivation to extend the preparation and celebration of the holidays can make one’s stress that much more intense. Rather than getting immersed in the excitement of the holiday season, many people view the holidays as a stressful reflection of their painful memories. Some people have lost loved ones, forfeited jobs, ended relationships, and find themselves far away from family. The expectations of gaiety and joyfulness illuminate what is missing for them.

Given the popularity of the Harry Potter character and Daniel Radcliffe, the affable youngster who brought him to life, I hate to broach the subject, but it must be done. Will Harry Potter meet his end in the last movie, "Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows"? Radcliffe thinks the character will be killed off, and, in fact, hopes Potter does die! Skype is an Instant messaging program that lets you keep in touch with your friends and see if they're online. Send them a message with the click of a button and find out more about them by reading their profile. Skype also lets you make voice calls to your friends. Sounds like a social networking site, doesn't it? Skype is not currently considered a social networking site, they're just an IM. Tom Keating, of the VoIP & Gadgets Blog thinks that it's about time Skype do something about this and become a full fledged social networking site.
