Traveling With Pets  E-mail

Whether you have a dog or other household pet, there’s much more to keeping your furry friend safe and happy than just opening the passenger door. Here are tips to make your long road trip — or even your Sunday drive — problem-free.

Here are a few things to consider when traveling with your pet:

1. Temperament - Make certain that your four-legged pal enjoys traveling before taking him on a long trip. Take time during the weeks leading up to your vacation to take him on several short trips so that he will be more accustomed to the sights, smells and sensations of riding in a car. If your pet is aggressive, ill-mannered or simply terrified of traveling, you may want to consider a qualified pet sitter or reputable boarding facility.

The enigma of the drawings in the Nazca desert

A remarkable discovery was made in 1926 in the Nazca desert. An aircraft crossing the desert discovered mysterious lines spreading over a large area. The travelers looked down and saw huge rectangles and other geometric shapes, together with fine line drawing of animals, including a monkey, a spider, a bird, and even a whale, as well as flowers, hands and spirals. This discovery rejected an earlier theory that the lines might have been ancient roads. Even from a bird`s eye view it was obvious that they clearly acted as something more than just roads.

The pyramid was discovered by Semir Osmanagic, Bosnian archeologic who spent 15 years on researches on pyramids in Americas, Asia and Africa and who wrote several books on this subject, says he is quite sure that he found the first pyramid in Europe. He believes that this will change the world of archeology. The artefact is said to be at least 10000 years old.

The Magic Stone Circle  E-mail

The mystery of Stonehenge

Stonehenge is the most remarkable stone circle in Europe. It stands on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, South England. Its stones were put there in pre-historic times – about 2500-1500 BC. Stonehenge consists of two concentric circles of blue stones, surrounded by a ditch and two banks. Microscopic examination of the stones has shown that they come from south-west Wales, about 135 miles from Stonehenge.

The building of Stonehenge must have taken many years to complete. The most difficult operations in transporting and raising the stones could have needed about 1500 men. It`s unlikely that the local region of Salisbury Plain could have provided all these people.
